Well, in general I'd say Python is better than PHP at pretty much everything but: * Regularly available on commercial hosts * Unified basis for web development (there's still a lot of MVC-like frameworks built on PHP, but they share more in common than in Python) * Always uses a multiprocess model that both protects against bugs (or at least, your server stays up no matter how buggy your PHP app or libraries), and not too inefficient (like CGI). * Easy to install and administer PHP applications; there can be a lot of nuisances when installing Python web applications, like sys.path etc. Posted on Jul 09 at 1:11 am

I’m basically a jQuery developer. I had little knowledge about prototype.js. All I knew is jQuery is better than prototype, so I never got interested about it. However, for some reason I started a project with prototype.js and each line of code makes it clearer that which one is better. Somehow I finished the project using prototype.js along with scriptaculous.js and effects.js. Everything was fine in IE7 and FF 3. But it breaks in IE6. I was not happy with the unnecessary huge code. For example there is no live event in prototype.js, you can not apply an event to a group of elements with same class (You have to use loop for it), there is nothing like jQuery.animate function by which you can do any css animation (You have to add scriptaculous.js for some pre-built animation effects!) and a lot more limitations. Godaddy is a very reliable host with fair rates and good customer service. They also have many deals and sales you can take advantage of. Posted on Jul 09 at 1:16 am

I use the Samson CO3U USB Mic. I’m digging GarageBand on the Mac, but love Audacity (Mac and PC) as well. Posted on Jul 09 at 1:21 am
